 O'Grady has appeared in a number of TV-related films on Lifetime as well as other companies, including The Three Lives of Karen (1997), Two Voices (1997) The Ninety-Nineth Seconds(1997), Two of Hearts (1997) and Two of Hearts (1997). Her big screen credits include Celtic Pride (1996), That Old Feeling (1997), Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999) and Walking Across Egypt (1999).From 2002 until the year 2005, O'Grady starred as Helen Pryor in the NBC television series American Dreams that depicted an all-American family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during the 1960s. The show was cancelled after just three seasons. O'Grady was the lead actress on Hot Properties, an ABC comedy series that was cancelled after just 13 episodes. In 2006, O'Grady appeared as a guest star on Two and a Half Men. The actress played a recurring role on Boston Legal as Gloria Weldon in 2007. Gloria Weldon is a judge, who is currently in a romantic relationship with Alan Shore. In 2007, she appeared on the Hallmark Channel movie All I Want for Christmas.O'Grady was a regular on the short-lived CW series Hidden Palms as Karen Hardy in 2007, and on Hellcats in the role of Wanda Perkins, the mother of the main character, from 2010 until 2011. as Anne Schilling, an actress who has been involved in an affair with Porter Scavo, O'Grady starred on ABC's Desperate housewives in 2008 as a regular character.
