Lowell started acting when she played the role in Dangerously Close. She then played a small part on the Robin Williams film Club Paradise. The actress went on to play the part of Bond girl Pam Bouvier (1989), and also the Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross (1996-1996). She appeared on Law & Order's spinoff Law & Order Trial by Jury and was back on the original series in 2022. Before taking on the role she was dissatisfied with her acting career. [9][10] From 1989 to 1995 she was married to actor Griffin Dunne. She has one daughter named Hannah. [citation needed] Lowell got married to actor Richard Gere in November 2002,[11] following the birth of their child Homer James Jigme Gere which was born in February 2000. [2] In September 2013 the couple split after 11 years of marriage. The couple sat for three years in highly litigated divorce proceedings in the New York Supreme Court.
